This hotdog was voted ‘Best in Ohio’ by a recent study
Summer means pool days, sunshine, and backyard eating. Hotdogs are an essential part of the season—The Action Network agrees, and they set out to find the best hot dog in each state. According to a study that used customer review data, the best hot dog in Ohio might surprise you.

The study said, “We analyzed 359,751 customer reviews across 750 local spots, tracking high-enthusiasm ‘passion markers; (like ‘best hot dog,’ ‘legendary,’ ‘hidden gem,’ and ‘worth the hype’) to find where the best dogs are hiding across the country.” In Ohio, the winning dog was Culver’s. Technically speaking, Culver’s sells a corn dog, not a traditional hot dog—but that didn’t stop them from winning in Ohio, Indiana, and North Dakota.
Double-dipped in a sweet honey batter, and fried to a golden crisp, the Culver’s corn dog is a must-try this summer. If you’d like to plan a cross-country road trip based on hot dog data, the full ranking and map of 50 state winners can be found here. Want to try Ohio’s winning hot dog? There’s a Culver’s location at 1444 Rentra Drive, Columbus.
