Viral ‘Hobbit Home’ featuring taxidermy bear receives mixed reviews online
From Middle-earth to Huron, Ohio, this Tolkien Hobbit-inspired home is the newest addition to the viral real estate account, Zillow Gone Wild.
With over 11,000 likes and more than 200 comments people have mixed reviews of this Huron property located at 10510 Mudbrook Road.

Spanning 7.93 acres along the Huron River, the home, dubbed “Huron Hobbit Home,” is a three-bedroom, two-bath earth home built of concrete and then covered with dirt, according to the social media post.

While the exterior is reminiscent of The Shire, the interior is styled more to the tune of a camping and fishing retailer, including a taxidermy bear, “Hobbit on the outside, Bass Pro Shop on the inside,” one user commented.
The 1977 ranch-style home features a gazebo, a log cabin, a pole shed, and a workshop.

The home is currently listed at $850,000 by Laurie Brill of Keller Williams Citywide.
