‘What is wrong with our neighborhood?;’ Clintonville business vandalized before grand opening
A Clintonville business owner asked, “What is wrong with our neighborhood, Clintonville? What is wrong with the people here?” after her business was allegedly vandalized earlier this week.

Angie Hatzifotinos, owner of Theory Project—an upcoming pilates and yoga studio— expressed her frustration via social media when she arrived one morning to find things not as she had left them. The massive logo for Theory Project (which had just recently been installed) appeared to have been partially torn off the brick facade of the building. Located at 3165 N. High Street, Theory Project is right next door to Hatzifotinos’ other business—Jekyll & Hyde Salon & Barbershop.
Hatzifotinos told 614Now that she had observed the corner location turn over several businesses in the last few years, and she wanted to add something to the community that would stick around and fuel the neighborhood with movement. She said, “I felt so sad and defeated when I came to work in the morning and saw her [the logo], I’m just grateful that I have first world problems and this can be fixed.” The company that installed the massive logo agreed to fix the decal free of charge. The logo was designed by her 14 year old niece to be intentional and inclusive, it features a woman with vitiligo in a yoga pose. Hatzifotinos said, “I’ve really noticed a huge increase in criminal activity in the last 2-3 years. Over the holidays I hire private special duty police to sit in front of the store and circle the block.” Hatzifotinos plans to install outdoor cameras to keep an eye on the building.
Theory Project will host pilates, reformer, yoga, deep stretch, and sound bath meditation classes. They’re planning a grand opening around Halloween. Follow them here for updates and announcements, and stay tuned for a grand opening date.
