Playmore castle listed for sale in Ohio

The extravagant 1920’s home of a CEO is on the market, and for only $5,950,000—it could be yours. We’re going to refer to this as an estate but it’s really more of a castle. The estate was featured on Zillow Gone Wild—a popular Instagram account boasting over 2 million followers.

Former CEO of Jo-Ann Fabrics, Wade Miquelon, has listed the estate for sale. Miquelon also served as Walgreens CFO for a time. Referred to as “Playmore” the estate is located at 8900 Eagle Rd. in Kirtland, Ohio.

Originally built in 1929 to serve as the primary home of Cleveland architect Benjamin Hubbell, the 14,936 square foot home features 7 beds, 5 baths, 12 acres, 20,000 trees, a dedicated entertainment wing, library, koi pond, pool, dedicated Hookah lounge, and more. The estate is listed by agents David B Ayers, and Nick Zawitz via The Agency Cleveland Northcoast.

That’s not all, the estate also boasts a billiards room, a custom displayed Harley-Davidson, a massive wine cellar, bocce courts, custom stone masonry, and a custom cocktail lounge. However, people have strong opinions on Instagram.

One user wrote “Who in the hell is living in that in Ohio?” another said “Zero women live here”. Other choice comments included “Love the skylight and wood beams. The rest is atrocious.” and “Can we go to the hookah lounge? No, we have one at home.” See the full Zillow Gone Wild post here. The full listing (and more photos) are available via the listing
