Hundreds of artists, dozens of food trucks and more than 75 live music acts: The Columbus Arts Festival kicks off later this month

In this day and age, art can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. But whether you’re a fan of Yves Klein or Alex Gray, the Columbus Arts Festival (CAF) has something for you.

Billed as “Columbus, Ohio’s Mecca of the arts,” the free event runs this year from June 12-14 along the Scioto Mile. It will feature over 230 exhibiting artists, more than 40 food trucks (with specialty drink service from Rhinegeist Brewing and High Bank Distillery Co.) and a full slate of live entertainment.

This includes the Columbus Art Festival’s musical performances, a packed schedule of more than 75 acts across four stages, featuring headliners like Doc Robinson, Columbus Jazz and Coyote Karate.

The “live” portion of CAF entertainment doesn’t end with the music, as the Festival boasts a handful of other interactive and experiential activities. This year, visitors will be able to try their hand at spray painting with Legal Walls, an activity hosted by 934 Gallery and Lookout Supply. You can also snag a selfie with a skyline backdrop using the Festival’s giant picture frame, stop by for a Saturday morning yoga session or visit any number of kids events, like decorating magnets, tap-dancing and more.

And if that’s not enough, the festival’s Big Local Arts Village will include even more local arts. Over 60 Central Ohio creatives––spanning mediums like painting, calligraphy, blacksmithing and more–will be selling their work, with some even offering interactive demos.
