Step into a surreal night of art, food, and community at this one-of-a-kind gala
In the fight against ALS, community is everything. ALS United Ohio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located right here in Columbus, is leading that effort in our state. They provide completely free, local services to individuals and families navigating one of the most devastating diagnoses imaginable. And the need is growing. There is no cure for ALS, there are no treatments that stop its progression. Meanwhile, the number of people diagnosed continues to rise each year, making access to support more critical than ever.
That’s where ALS United Ohio comes in.
Through one-on-one case management, caregiver support, equipment loans, and support groups—ALS United Ohio ensures that no family faces the diagnosis alone. It’s the only organization of its kind in Ohio offering this level of comprehensive care. None of it is covered by insurance. Every service is funded entirely through the generosity of individuals, corporate partners, and events like their upcoming fundraiser gala.
Taking place Friday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m. at The Exchange at Bridge Park, Farm to Table(aux) Benefiting ALS United Ohio is not your typical gala.

Inspired by the surrealist works of André Masson, Frida Kahlo, and Salvador Dalí, the event blends the farm-to-table culinary experience with “tableaux vivants” or living, interactive works of art. The gala begins with a two-hour cocktail soirée featuring artisanal drinks, elevated hors d’oeuvres, and immersive performances that bring surrealist art to life. Guests can browse and bid on silent auction items while engaging with dynamic artistic displays.

The evening continues with a seated, three-course farm-to-table dinner creatively prepared by Presenting Sponsor Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. After astounding entertainment, guests will engage with the mission through the live auction, impact video, and a Bid from the Heart to fund free services. The evening ends with the reveal of the Mystère Box raffle winner who will walk away with an exciting prize valued at $2,500 or more, sponsored by Diamonds Direct.
General admission includes access to the full experience, while VIP tickets elevate the evening with premium seating, exclusive wines, and enhanced details. It’s bold, immersive, and (most importantly) makes a critical difference for people in your community struggling with ALS.

Without events like this, the free programs so many depend on simply wouldn’t exist. If you’re looking for a way to make a meaningful impact locally, this is it. Secure your tickets, gather your friends, and step into a night where art, food, and purpose come together—because in the fight against ALS, every seat at the table makes a difference.
