Support women+ of color-owned local businesses at JoyFest! Presented by Zora’s House
In collaboration with Downtown Columbus and Columbus Commons, Zora’s House presents JoyFest, a one-day festival open to all celebrating women of color entrepreneurs, artists, and creatives.
Zora’s House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing women and gender-expansive people of color with the space, skills, and strategic connections needed to thrive personally and professionally.
The free event, formally known as Women+ of Color Owned Summer Market (WoCO), will be held on June 6 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., located at the John F. Wolfe Columbus Commons.
JoyFest remains a curated marketplace featuring over 50 women+ of color-owned local businesses, live music, and great food. It has grown into a larger cultural and economic platform where commerce and community come together to create a lasting joyful impact across Central Ohio.
JoyFest is designed to strengthen the small business ecosystem among one of the fastest-growing entrepreneurial demographics: women+ of color. Each year, the event raises more than $75,000 directly back into small business owners, while also investing in financial education and partnerships.
This year’s music lineup includes Honey and Blue, Blucone, Lungu Vybz Reggae, and the Sweet Tooth DJ Collective. JoyFest will be emceed by local leader and advocate, Lachandra Baker.
The all-day celebration of visibility will be accompanied by a variety of food trucks and family-friendly activities, aiding the creation of a welcoming space for the broader community to lift up women+ of color entrepreneurs.
