This 12-year Columbus cornhole tradition is throwing its support behind the future of fashion
For 11 years, one Columbus cornhole tournament has turned friendly competition into more than $100,000 for local nonprofits. And it’s back again, for number 12.
The WSA Cornhole Tournament returns October 1 for another round. This year, the fundraiser will support Columbus Fashion Alliance and its work to expand access to education, careers, and business ownership through fashion. WSA Cornhole brings Columbus’ architecture, engineering, construction and design community to WSA’s Downtown studio at 235 N. Fourth St. Some guests come to compete. Others come to cheer, bid in the silent auction or catch up with community members from across the industry.
In 2025, 43 teams helped raise $26,000. That pushed the tournament’s total contribution to Columbus nonprofits past $100,000. This year, that support goes to Columbus Fashion Alliance. CFA is a nonprofit that uses fashion to create economic opportunity in Central Ohio. Its programs introduce young people to creative careers. Adults gain workforce training, technical skills or help finding employment. Emerging entrepreneurs receive practical support as they work to launch and grow businesses. CFA helps people turn creative ability into a viable future. Participants gain skills, meet industry professionals and find routes to education, professional connections and career paths that may otherwise remain out of reach.

CFA has served 2,500 young people, supported over 140 jobs and reinvested $6 million into the community. Funds raised through the event will help CFA expand its programs. The event also supports CFA’s vision for The Loom, a new creative hub planned for Central Ohio. The Loom will bring learning, production, enterprise, and industry into one place. Planned spaces include classrooms, maker spaces, production labs, retail opportunities, plus areas for collaboration. For CFA, The Loom represents the next stage of its work. It will create more room to learn. It will improve access to the tools needed to make. It will connect talent with opportunity.
For WSA, supporting that vision reflects what the tournament has always been about. “This event shows what can happen when our community puts its relationships behind a shared purpose,” said Chelsea Denman, WSA event organizer. “For 12 years, our clients, partners and friends have helped us turn one evening together into lasting support for Columbus nonprofits. CFA has a clear vision for creating opportunity through fashion, and we are proud to bring this community together behind what they are building.” The 12th Annual WSA Cornhole Tournament takes place October 1 at WSA’s studio at 235 N. Fourth St.
Visit WSA’s website to learn more about the event, or to RSVP as a guest to watch the action, enjoy the food or take part in the silent auction. Every registration, donation, and winning bid supports CFA.
In addition to support from Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, Good Liar Non-Alcoholic Beer, Carfagna’s, and Parson’s North Brewing, WSA Number 12 is made possible by the 2026 Supreme Event Sponsors:
