Ohio dominates collegiate dodgeball rankings, with local school topping list
The Buckeye State is known for a whole lot: Cedar Point, Ohio State Football, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and even baby Swiss cheese.
And now, you can add college dodgeball to that list, apparently.
According to the March 2026 National Collegiate Dodgeball Association (NCDA) rankings–which are based on a combination of records and tournament performances, Ohio State boasts the nation’s top collegiate dodgeball team.

But it doesn’t end there. Here’s the full top ten:
- Ohio State University
- Michigan State University
- Kent State University
- Grand Valley State University (Defending champions)
- University of Cincinnati
- Miami University (OH)
- University of Virginia
- Ohio University
- Cleveland State University
- University of Nebraska
Yes, you’re reading that correctly: Six of the top ten teams nationally, or more than half of the top ten, hail from Ohio.
