‘Biggest concert I’ve ever performed in my whole life:’ Performance breaks concert attendance record at Ohio Stadium
Grammy-nominated country singer Luke Combs’ time spent at The ‘Shoe for the Columbus pitstop of his worldwide “My Kinda Saturday Night” tour was certainly memorable: In fact, it was history-making.
On Saturday, April 25, Combs entertained 97,367 fans, the largest concert crowd in the stadium’s history. This attendance blew out the previous record held by Pink Floyd from a 1994 concert with 75,245 fans.
“Biggest concert I’ve ever performed in my whole life,” Combs shared in a post to his official HQ Facebook page.

And for this record-shattering concert, Combs brought some familiar faces onstage: Zach Werenski, NHL defenseman and alternate captain for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Will Howard shotgunned beers with the singer, while former Buckeyes and current NFL players Carnell Tate and Sonny Styles hyped up the roaring crowd.
Combs boasts over 27 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with hits including “When It Rains It Pours,” “Fast Car,” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” The tour is promoting his sixth studio album, The Way I Am, and will head across North America and Europe through early August.
