Ohio festival featured in new best-of list from ‘Midwest Living’
Midwest Living shouted out multiple flower festivals across Ohio in their list of “The 15 Spring Flower Festivals You Won’t Want to Miss” in the Midwest.
In Columbus is none other than the Cherry Blossom Festival, on its 5th annual celebration this year from March 25 – April 25. Over 100 cherry trees will blossom in Franklin Park, and festival celebrations will occur throughout the month, including the festival’s main celebration—full of exhibits, games, and performances—on April 4 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Franklin Park Amphitheater. Then there’s Zoo Blooms in Cincinnati, one of the largest displays of tulips in the world, according to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden website. Visitors can enjoy “Tulip Mania,” the blooming of over 100,000 tulips of all colors, as well as over one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees, shrubs, and spring bulbs, throughout the month of April at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, included with Zoo admission.
Also highlighted was Granville’s Daffodil Days, a 75-year-old tradition by the Granville Garden Club celebrating the village flower, the daffodil. The annual Daffodil Show is held at the Bryn Du Mansion and is free and open to the public April 11-12 from 12-6 p.m. Visitors can view vibrant daffodil displays arranged in creative vignettes, according to the club’s website.
