A “Storybook Ohio Town” was named one of the Midwest’s best small towns in Midwest Living‘s 2026 Best of the Midwest Awards.

Granville’s New England charm certainly stood out. The article points to the village’s charm, colonial-style architecture, striped shop awnings, and church steeples reminiscent of Ivy Leagues.

The village also impresses with its history. The article reads, “Earn some unofficial course credits in local history by exploring the Robbins Hunter Museum, visiting the Indigenous-built Alligator Effigy Mound, and staying at the Buxton Inn, Ohio’s oldest continuously operating inn.”
