Campus-area robberies continue: Seven in two days
One day after campus police issued a notice to students that six robberies had been committed in the area in the previous 24 hours, the number has climbed. At 4:40am on Thursday, a man reported being robbed near East 7th and King Avenues. The victim described the suspect as a man in his 40s. The earlier hold-ups were allegedly committed by three guys in their early 20s. People in the area are again asked to be alert and notify authorities if they have any information about these crimes.

Previous: 7/22/15: University Police issue alert after six robberies in 24 hours
Ohio State University Police have issued an alert to students after three overnight robberies were committed near campus. Between Tuesday night (7/21) and Wednesday morning (7/22), the following crimes were reported:
- 7/21 10:52pm, three suspects assaulted a male victim near 122 E. 6th Avenue, stealing personal property and fleeing in a vehicle
- 7/21 11:39pm, two suspects showed a gun and took personal property from another victim near 116 E. Woodruff Avenue
- 7/21 12:34am, three suspects assaulted another victim near 190 E. 13th Avenue taking a wallet
Police also say that three other robberies occurred in the early morning hours of 7/21, but it’s not clear if those events are related. These crimes happened at E. 16th Avenue & Pearl Alley, in the 200 block of E. Norwich Avenue, and near Northwood & Indianola Avenue.
