New pizza joint bringing slice of Brooklyn to Columbus

It’s been just a couple of weeks since the Short North Coffee House ended its run at 1195 North High Street, but we’ve now got word of what will take its place.

Paulie Gee’s, a New York based pizza joint will soon take up the spot. The five year-old pizza chain with locations in Brooklyn, Baltimore and Miami will soon add Columbus to that list. Columbus owner Terry Gibbs worked closely with the company’s namesake founder to learn the ins and outs of running his own operation in the Short North.

Neapolitan-style pizzas line the menu with colorful names like the In Ricotta Da Vita, the Grapeful Dead and the Feel Like Bacon Love. Menu selections very from location to location and typically connect with individual cities.

With complete renovations of the space still to take place, Gibbs hopes to open his North High Street Paulie Gee’s sometime this fall.  (jj)
