A Columbus man who threatened to kill President Obama has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Michael Clark Jr identified himself as a white supremacist in a letter that he sent to the White House in 2013 saying that he would board a bus, armed with a rifle, travel to Washington and assassinate the president.
Secret Service agents found Clark in a mental health facility in the Hilltop area.
The judge handing down sentence on Wednesday ordered that Clark serve his time in a prison equipped with a mental health program.
Prosecutors say that this is not the defendant’s first go around in this area. Clark threatened the life of former President Clinton in 1998. (jj)
