Rewrite: Ohio Ballot Board meets to revise wording of marijuana issue

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 9.11.38 AMA dispute over the Ohio Ballot Board’s wording of a marijuana legalization measure was decided this week in favor of the issue’s backing group (ResponsibleOhio). The Ohio Supreme Court determined that the language of the initiative set to be put in front of voters this November is misleading. And so…it’s back to the drawing board.

The court found that the issue as written by the ballot board inaccurately stated some pieces of information while leaving out essential others. The court called the wording “misleading.”

The Ohio Ballot Board will meet today to give it another go. (jj)
