Attack on pizza delivery guy, passenger shot
A pizza delivery driver who welcomed a new son just last month was the victim of a set-up early Wednesday morning.
Randy Sturtz was making a delivery near East 14th and Hamilton Road at around 1am when he and passenger Heather Newsome (pictured) were attacked. It turned out that the pizza had been ordered delivered to a vacant home. The robbery attempt ended in gunfire with the suspects shooting at Sturtz’s truck. Newsome was shot in the back. She is currently being treated at Grant Medical Center.
Columbus Police are searching for the suspects. (jj)
