Update: Motorcycle accident leaves police officer victim of hit-skip

Update: Columbus Police report that a CPD motorcycle officer, a victim of hit-skip on Friday, was released from the hospital and will be fine. Despite being struck, the officer was able to provide other officers with the license plate number of the offending vehicle. Police have now found the car.  (jj)

NBC4 reports that a Columbus police officer was injured in a hit-skip accident late this morning near Morse and Karl roads. The officer was a riding his motorcycle when struck. The driver of the other vehicle simply drove away.

The CPD officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition. (jj)
