Authorities name shooter in Thanksgiving killing
Update: The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has named 18-year-old Da’Juan Mankins as the man who shot and killed Glen Stepp on the city’s West Side on Thanksgiving Day. From officials:
Mankins is 5’10” tall, 215 pounds, with tattoos on his face, neck and upper body. He may be in west Columbus, possibly in the Hilltop or Franklinton area. He should be considered armed and dangerous…Anyone with information on this case or the whereabouts of Da’Juan Mankins is asked to call the FCSO Detective Bureau at 614-525-3351.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that man was shot on the city’s west side Thursday night near the 3600 block of West Broad Street. The shooting actually occurred at a home along an alley that runs behind a gyro shop and a Speedway gas station on Broad.
A man near the home at the time of the incident says that two men entered the house and began shooting. The victim was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later.
No arrests have been made. (jj)
