Kahiki legacy to live on in new Upper Arlington restaurant

A lot of people in Columbus have fond memories of the Kahiki restaurant.

For nearly 40 years, the Kahiki entertained and impressed diners at its East Broad Street location. But it closed its doors in 2000 and today a Walgreens stands in its place. sigh.

Jeff Tsao’s father owned the Kahiki and, today, he’s getting ready to launch his own restaurant. Fukuryu Ramen will debut its fast-casual ramen concept next month when it opens next to Hudson 29 on West Lane Avenue.
