Neighbors complain of unsafe crossings where pedestrian was killed

shutterstock_215540260An accident on the city’s Northeast side this week resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Police have identified the woman as 59-year-old Karen Tucker. Tucker was struck by a vehicle as she was attempting to cross the street near Cleveland and Cordell Avenues.

Neighbors say that there are no crosswalks and that it’s incredibly dangerous for people on foot to get across Cleveland Avenue in that area. A number of people have been hit by cars previously in that location. A 10-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle there in July.
