Pup of the Week: DeAngelo

Pup of the Week: DeAngelo

614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.

Quick note: the shelter wants to remind everyone about their $5 Feline Friday special. All cats and kittens have a $5 adoption fee every Friday through the winter.

D'angeloLet’s take a look at DeAngelo.

DeAngelo is an 18-month old brown and white purebred beagle. He was transferred to CHA from a crowded, rural shelter. He is a gorgeous, young, 34-pound Beagle with the sweetest soft eyes and a wrinkly face. DeAngelo is an active little guy who loves to romp and play in the CHA yard with other pups. He would do well with another energetic, young dog. He enjoys hanging out in the volunteer coordinator’s office during the day. In typical Beagle fashion, DeAngelo enjoys his walks and likes to sniff around. He would make a wonderful hiking or urban exploring companion.

DeAngelo’s adoption fee is listed at $150. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:

CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal.  (jj)
