The Columbus College of Art and Design has named Melanie Corn as its new president. Corn is currently provost at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She will be the first female president in the history of CCAD.
This is a moment of great potential for art and design education. Columbus College of Art & Design is well-poised to play an increasingly important role in this landscape. I am a true believer in the power of a studio-based educational model and I look forward to helping expand the college’s national profile and build on the efforts to prepare students for the creative economy.
– Melanie Corn
She will begin her new post on March 21st. (jj)
