Mascots ‘taking over’ Nationwide Arena for kid-friendly pregame event this weekend

If you’ve been mulling over taking the little ones to a Columbus Blue Jackets game, this might be your sign to get at it.

On Dec. 10, when the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Florida Panthers, a handful of mascots from Ohio sports teams, as well as those from other NHL squads, will be present at Nationwide Arena.

The event, titled Mascot Madness, will feature Blue Jackets mascot Stinger, in addition to fellow National Hockey League (NHL) mascots N.J. Devil (New Jersey), Stanley C. Panther (Florida), Stormy (Carolina), Howler (Arizona), S.J. Sharkie (San Jose) as well as Rosie from the Cincinnati Reds.

The game itself begins at 1 p.m.
