Interviews with the finalists will be held on January 5th. Sitting members will make an appointment from this list. If there’s a God, they’ll let Steve Harvey announce the winner.

Columbus City Counilwoman Eileen Paley is vacating her seat to take a spot at the Franklin County Municipal Court. That leaves an opening…with nearly 3 dozen folks having expressed an interested in taking the post.

Recent mayoral candidate James Ragland, and recent (defeated) council candidates Ibrahima Sow, Keith Hatton and Kiwan Lawson are among those who met the deadline to file for consideration. Interviews are being conducted this week with the eventual new member to be announced in January.
