Three robberies in just over two hours, all committed by the same suspect.
Clerks at three different stores…all with good descriptions of the suspect.
One police officer paying close attention.
Busted.
Columbus Police say that 46-year-old Robert Polansky held up the Family Dollar store at 3631 Sullivant Avenue Tuesday night at 5pm. At 6:10pm, he was holding up the UDF at 1041 West Broad Street. Feeling kind of ballsy, he pressed his luck by robbing the BP at 850 North Wilson Road. Dispatchers sent out Polansky’s description to patrol officers and one spotted the alleged crook getting on the freeway.
The guy was pulled over under the guise of a standard traffic stop. When backup arrived, Polansky was busted.
Nice job, CPD.
