Frustrated Blue Jackets coach behind the bench
In October, with the Blue Jackets having strung together 7 straight losses to start the season, management pulled the plug on Todd Richards…firing the coach and bringing in John Tortorella. Today the club is 13-22-3. Ugh.
No one is feeling the frustration more than the man behind the bench. On Sunday, Tortorella said that the club’s top players were leaving the team a void of leadership…that he’s ‘not getting squat’ from those that are supposedly his top players. He said that it’s his hope that the younger players will step in to fill that leadership gap.
And then the boy went out and lost 3 – 2 to the Florida Panthers, the CBJ’s third loss in-a-row.
There’s plenty of hockey left to be played this season. The question is whether or not the team will give the fans anything for which to cheer.
The club see its next game on Tuesday night at Nationwide Arena vs the Dallas Stars.
