CBJ: Bobrovsky, McElhinney both on injured reserve

…And the news keeps getting worse for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Over the holiday weekend, the club put goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky back on injured reserve. Bobrovsky recently reaggravated a groin injury and returned to IR retroactive to 12/31…meaning that he theoretically could play this week…if he’s healthy enough. And here’s hoping that’s that case because back-up goalie Curtis McElhinney will be out for at least a month after suffering a sprained ankle in the CBJ’s win on Saturday night.
The club has made some call-ups to fill the spots and if neither of those guys work out, maybe the Jackets will just draw names out of a hat and some lucky fan will be called out of the stands and given a shot.
