Ohio city ranked one of the country’s worst for dog parks in new study
A major Ohio city was named one of the country’s worst for dog parks in a new LawnStarter study.
According to the study, Cleveland is third-worst dog park city in the nation. It landed behind Garland, Texas (second worst) and Newark, New Jersey (worst).
Columbus didn’t fare too well either, as it landed at number 87 overall. Toledo took the 41st spot, and Cincinnati landed at 44.

The LawnStarter study considered eight different metrics in their rankings, including access to dog parks per 100,000 residents, the number of top-rated dog parks, weather conditions and more.
The list considered 101 different U.S. cities in total, with Boise, Idaho (best), San Francisco, California (second best) and Portland, Oregon (third best) rounding out the country’s top cities for dog parks.
