Cocktail bar & kitchen known for giant Bloody Marys closing doors this month
A lively cocktail lounge and kitchen is bidding farewell at the end of the month, and while the tight-knit, surrounding community is disappointed their local watering hole is closing, the owners are ready for their next journey.
Back in 2018, Cassy and Zach Mullins acquired and renovated the vintage bowling alley Grove City Lanes, transforming it to Zassy’s Cocktail Lounge. Over the past six years, the cocktail bar and kitchen has been a spot for fun karaoke nights out, themed brunches, and yes – their famous giant Bloody Marys.

Cassy is ready for the next chapter in her life though, according to a social media post which announced Zassy’s Cocktail Lounge would be permanently closing at the end of the month. Cassy said, “It’s not where I want to be in my life anymore. It’s been a huge growing experience in my professional life and I’ve come to realize it’s just not for me. I had just had my youngest child when we started the renovations of the building. I’m ready to be home with my kids. I’m ready to go to bed a 9pm and get up at 5am feeling refreshed.. not go to bed at 2am and get up at 6am and be exhausted. I’m ready for a NEW beginning.”
You can still grab some cocktails until August 31, which is their definite closing date. Zassy’s is located in the heart of Downtown Grove City, at 3940 Broadway.
