D.C.-based The Marijuana Policy Project has announced they are working to legalize pot in Ohio. They want to push legislation to allow individuals with “serious medical conditions” to purchase or grow weed with a doctor’s prescription.
LegalizeOhio meanwhile will be pushing for medicinal and personal use of the drug. ResponsibleOhio, the group that got a legalization initiative on the ballot last year, has said it will not be pursuing a new initiative this year, but its co-founder Jimmy Gould is instead researching medical weed on a task force created by the Ohio House.
