One of the Basketball Bucks’ leading players, sophomore forward Jae’Sean Tate, will not be playing for the rest of the season following a shoulder injury.
Tate injured his right shoulder during his senior year at Pickerington Central High School and had to leave the court during Saturday’s game against Nebraska in obvious discomfort. He is scheduled to have surgery Friday.
In yesterday’s painful loss against Michigan State, Tate was a notable absence on the court.
Scoring an average 11.7 point and netting 6.4 rebounds a game, Tate was a key player for the Buckeyes who will be sorely missed for the rest of the season.
However, Tate is expected to make a full recovery and play again next season.
