Columbus police are investigating a home invasion on the 200 block on 15th Ave. near campus that occurred at about 3:45 a.m.
Two men told police they were watching TV when burglars wearing ski masks broke down the front door and attacked one of the men with a hammer. The other grabbed a hockey stick and drove off the invaders, but not before the victim sustained injuries.
Goes to show that burglars are cowards in the end, and it doesn’t hurt to have some form of defense handy.
Medics treated the victim for injuries in his ribs and back, and police say the man was not seriously hurt.
