Kasich won’t run 3rd party, won’t endorse Trump ‘yet’
In a primetime interview with Anderson Cooper at the Ohio Governor’s Mansion on CNN last night, John Kasich sounded disillusioned with presidential politics.
The interview was the first the Ohio Governor had given 11 days after he dropped out of the presidential race.
Kasich stressed that presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump would have to move to a position of “uniting” to receive his endorsement.
“He has a chance to move to the positive side and unify this country,” Kasich said.
When Cooper asked Kasich whether or not he would vote for Trump, he did not answer the question.
Kasich also said that running as a third party alternative to Trump “would be a silly thing,” and that it’s “not constructive, not the right thing to do.”
In the same vein, Kasich indicated he’s not interested in running as Trump’s VP.
