Two critically injured following south side brawl

As people gathered to watch two women fight on the south side, the violence spilled over into the crowd that was amassing.

Shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of East Gates Street and Ann Street, Earl Lindsey, 27, and Rashawn Wilson, 18, exchanged blows in the middle of the crowd watching the other fight.

Eventually, Lindsey pulled a gun and shot Wilson in the chest. Immediately after the first shot was fired, a third person shot Lindsey in the neck after witnessing him shoot Wilson.

Both men left the scene in critical condition, and were transported to area hospitals to be treated for their wounds.

Lindsey was charged with felonious assault for shooting Wilson.
