When Jonathan Waters took over the OSU marching band two years ago, he apparently found it in desperate need of change, changes that could not be done instantaneously, and Wednesday night his attorney released a document detailing his hand in attempting to change the institutionalized band culture. The document said Waters stopped a “caste system” within the band that put new members at a disadvantage, even making them pay for older members food during game days. Also, according to the document he ended Trip Tic which was a vulgar publication that poked fun of other members, and also was uneasy with the tradition of the “Midnight Ramp” and said the tradition would end among other things.
