Winter is Coming: Columbus’s First Freeze

It’s weird to think of frost when it’s so nice and sunny out still, but Ohio weather delivers (badly) and so our first freeze is officially on the horizon.
According to NBC4i, last night Columbus had its coolest night since Spring, and late September through the end of November opens up Columbus’s ‘freeze window,’ if you will.
Back in 1878, Columbus had its earliest recorded freeze on September 21st. So I guess we’re doing pretty ok this year. At least it means we can finally give our ACs, tank tops, and those beat up sandals a rest.
Thank goodness for sweaters and cardigans, cold weather makes everyone more fashionable.
