Hiroshi Hayakawa’s parents didn’t particularly want him to study art, but after growing up in Japan and being intrigued by origami and paper creations much of his life is art now that he has moved to the US. The artist and associate professor at CCAD will release his fourth book “Paper Monsters and Curious Creatures” Tuesday, according to Columbus Underground. The art of origami has been honed for years, but Hayakawa’s style is unlike others. In his book are paper monsters, robots and dragons that reflect his differing ideas around the art form.
