National Night Out: Bringing police and residents together
Another edition of National Night Out begins Tuesday at 5 p.m. The goal of the night is to connect police with residents to create a safer atmosphere and to put residents at ease in their own communities. National Night Out will have food, games, ice cream socials, wine tastings and more in hopes to bring together residents with local law enforcement. Essentially the night helps to make the community more aware of the officers around them and more willing to help when situations do arise, the Dispatch reported.
