Woman attempts to hire hitman, lands 8 years in prison
Turns out the man a woman attempted to hire to murder her husband was an undercover police officer, and that landed her with an 8-year prison stint Thursday. An informant had notified the police of Tasha Woody’s attempt to hire him to kill her husband. An undercover detective then pretended to be a hitman and Woody once again attempted to pay him $10,000 to kill her husband, the Dispatch reported. The judge sentencing her said, “I think what she did was very cold and calculating.” The judge also said the woman appeared to do it for the money, while Woody’s attorney argued she was struggling with drug addiction which impaired her mind.
