Columbus Death Row Inmate Commits Suicide

An Ohio man that was scheduled to die for killing his former girlfriend has committed suicide, the state prisons agency said Monday.

Inmate Patrick Leonard died on Sunday of an alleged suicide while waiting on death row in Chillicothe.

Leonard was sentenced to die for the 2000 killing of his ex-girlfriend — 23-year-old Dawn Flick.
