Jeni’s Closing for a Good Reason
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is treating itself to a facelift at its Short North location after 10 years of serving Columbus sweet, sweet icy treats. Tomorrow will be the last day for scooping for a few weeks while it’s being remodeled. But don’t worry, the ice cream truck will be working the corner of High and Warren streets temporarily to meet your sweet tooth needs.
“We’re going to update the shop, but keep it’s character,” said Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jeni Britton Bauer in a release. “We hope the new look is a great addition to the neighborhood and our incredible city.”
As one door closes [temporarily], another one opens. The German Village store will begin slinging cones on April 1 starting at noon. And of course, the North Market location is still an unwavering option to get your fix as the weather warms.
We thank you, Jeni’s, for taking such good care of us.
xoxo,
Columbus
