Barnaby the koala, described by Columbus Zoo and Aquarium keepers as “handsome” and “feisty,” passed away last evening. He was only 5 years old. He died from torsion—the twisting of an organ and subsequent loss of blood supply—which is relatively common in koalas as well as dogs.
Feel free to leave your respects to Barnaby on the Facebook stream.
