Woman thought crack was spider egg, checked into hospital, arrested

A woman in Westerville smoked a bunch of crack cocaine, freaked out because she thought her insides were crawling with spiders, and then checked herself into a hospital so they could verify that the crack she smoked wasn’t a spider egg. We suppose they do bear a certain resemblance:

Oddly enough, the woman was just high. She was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

With her glass pipe and crack in hand, Rachel Mitchell, 45, went to the hospital after smoking the drug.

She marched in there and demanded they test the crack. She accused her friend of selling her a spider’s egg instead of crack rocks. She was convinced that she had inhaled a bunch of baby spiders. She handed over the crack and paraphernalia to a nurse who took it to hospital security who then reported it to the police.

Mitchell has been charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
