Eat614: Land-Grant rolls out new environmentally-friendly beer series

Land-Grant has thought long and hard about how their brewing process impacts the environment. They’ve decided they want to be–and can be–a bit greener. Land-Grant Brewing Company’s Sun-Grant Series is a line of beers brewed with the earth in mind. Each beer is brewed using sustainable techniques and ingredients. Two dollars of every can or pint sold will go towards minimizing Land-Grant’s footprint with eco-friendly brewing technology and equipment.

The first beer they’ve debuted is a Honey Blonde Ale called Ra. It’s made without using fossil fuels. It’s available at the Land-Grant taproom now.

The Sun-Grant series is inspired by the Sun-Grant Association, a group of Land-Grant universities researching and developing eco-friendly energy alternatives.
