A former OSU student plead guilty to supporting terrorism and plotting to kill a federal judge overseeing his case. Yikes.
Yahya Farooq Mohammad, an Indiana resident, along with three other men who had Ohio ties were all accused of working to send money to an al-Qaida leader in 2015.
Mohammad allegedly told an inmate in Toledo of his plan to have the federal judge killed.
Although the government’s case against him wasn’t super sound, Mohammed chose to plead guilty and accept a 27-year sentence rather than taking a risk in trial and potentially being handed a life sentence.
