Ballroom Breakout has nothing to do with dancing and everything to do with awesome music

Ballroom Breakout, that’s like.. A ballroom dancing contest, right?

Not exactly. Actually, not at all.

The Ballroom Breakout is actually a live music series which will welcome three-time Grammy Award winner Lucinda Williams on August 8. Williams will be preceded by Columbus celeb Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons.

“The Ballroom Breakout is developing a great reputation for bringing area favorites together with their heroes and that is certainly the case here with Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons opening for the great Lucinda Williams,” said Dave Whinham, President/CEO of The TEAM Productions.

The New Valley Dale Ballroom, built in 1918, has hosted some of the greatest names in music ever including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bing Crosby. Oh the stories that ol’ girl could tell..

It’s one of the last Great American Ballrooms of its era and with the new renovations, the nostalgic feel is really brightened and strengthened.

Tickets to The Ballroom Breakout with Lucinda Williams start at $25 in advance. Doors open at 7pm with music beginning at 7:30pm. Click here for more information.
