A white nationalist group asked Ohio State University if they could host an event at the university and OSU was like, “Mmm, no.”
The request came from the National Policy Institute and was to be led by Richard Spencer, a white nationalist, President of NPI, and co-editor of alt-right website, reports The Dispatch.
Ohio State denied to host the event due to safety concerns. They believe the safety of the public would be compromised if they accepted the request.
The NPI wanted to rent out either the Blankwell Inn, Gateway Film Center, Faculty Club or a few others to accommodate their projected 200-300 attendees.
Spencer would’ve given a speech and held a Q&A session afterwards.
