There’s a wimpy Twitter account pushing for MLS in Austin, TX
So today, we’ve all been thinking a lot about the thought of losing our soccer team…Unless you don’t really care in which case you heard the news, shrugged a bit and dismissed it. Either way, check out this Twitter page dedicated to bringing Major League Soccer to Austin, TX, the currently MLS-less city where the Crew may be moved.
It’s called MLS2ATX and they’ve been on twitter since August and have gained a whopping 60 followers. We’re not sure how many they had yesterday before the news broke but we’re guessing somewhere around zero.
#Austin is the most attractive untapped market in the United States for @MLS #MLS2ATX https://t.co/qbARU33gBt

The Twitter page belongs to a website with the same name that Columbus Navigator reports to be funded by the owners of the Crew.
“Although any soccer fan can understand the desire to bring an MLS team to your hometown, it should be noted that MLS2ATX, this “grassroots campaign”, is fully owned and funded by Precourt Sports Ventures, the owners of Crew SC.”
