It’s been about two weeks since we learned about the Crew SC owner’s evil plan to move the soccer team out of Columbus. Since then, a grassroots movement to keep the Black and Gold here has sprouted called #SaveTheCrew. One of the components to their plan was to get city leaders onboard and as of this week, #SaveTheCrew can put a check in that box.
Columbus City Council passed a resolution in an effort to stop Anthony Precourt from moving the team, according to 10tv.
Council president Zach Klein wants the community to know the Council is behind them and Precourt to know the banter about the move is not going to shake Columbus’ dedication to Crew SC.
